Yes they Can I am a man and my best friend is a woman and we met our fresman year in high school and have been best friends now for nearly 9 years now and we have never had any problem with that issue it hasnt even came up I have had my girlfriends and she has had her boyfriends and we leave it at that

Sure, why not? Many scenarios are conjured up when asked this question. For example, if the girl and boy grew up together in the neighborhood and were raised like siblings (assuming no brother/sister complex), then they'd most likely be best friends and not have sex interfering. However, I'm probably sure that that's not what you're asking for. Hehe... if this is pertaining to you personally instead of generally, make sure the guy is gay or the girl is a lesbian. *shrugs* Easiest way! Personally, I love gay friends, and there's no time like the present to go out there and diversify yourself if you don't already have any. Frankly, I don't even like hetero relationships, so the whole straight man/woman best friends thing doesn't even sound fun to me. Besides my own personal opinion on heteros, though, no sex doesn't sound exciting at ALL!

Yes. It can be done but it is something that is never easy to be done in an asian area. I believe tt man and woman should never have sex fantasy when they are being closed friends. All friendship are build up based on trust and not other element.

nope. even if actual sexual activity was not part of the picture, i believe the man will always be thinking of it, man are born this way.Not sure about the woman though.

Definitely can! Only those obscene minds or flirt, think of that. Not every man, myself have many women or girlfriends, but this is totally not in my mind because of my morality.

yes they can but it would be hard. as time passes temption is always there. call it "call of nature"
the more familiar 2 gets the more informal and casual in thinking and the more it would be "ok" to do it.
sheer respect and determination is needed.
