Do owls ever hoot hoot in the daytime? Where do owls go during the day?

I have an owl that comes out in the late night and hoots all night long. But I have never heard them in the daytime. I know that they nest in dark places during the day hours. Like in caves, holes in the trees, they even have there nests that they build so that it is just the way they want it with the dark light out of sight. I have a pool and I know every time I turn on the pool light on he is out there in the trees. They look for lil things in the dark to attack. There cool birds and I love sitting out there and do the hoot back to them and they answer back it is the coolest thing and piece full...

I've heard owls in the daytime. They hunt day and night because they have such good vision. They like to roost in barns where they are good in controling mice.

i woke up about 10 am.. its now almost 5 pm... i've been hearing this owl hooting non stop... i thought they only did that at nite too lol

owls are nocturnal animals so acctually sleep during the day they tend to nest in trees and dark areas so this is where they go. :-)
