Eyeshadow: with dark brown eyes AND considering your tan skin, dark khaki, pastel blue, lilac, black and dark navy blue is really nice. And remember to go dark on the lid and lighter as you fill up the rest of the eyelid.

Lipstick: I find medium or pastel pink shades to be the best. And for dark, a deep prune or cranberry but maybe mixed with a soft pink shade to lighten the dark color.

Hope this helped and good luck! ;)

If you have dark brown eyes, all is appropriate except too clear or pearly colours because they give a yellow effect to the white of the eye.

Either you choose to stress the lips or on the eyes but never the two sets.

Stick with neutral tones or "earth" tones, if you want a splash of color use a thin line of colored eyeliner to brighten. Using a white eyeliner on the inside of the bottom lid will also make your eyes "pop". As for lipstick, if you have tan skin, something along the same lines..apricots, cinnamons, earthy tones in a darker tone.

You should try eyeshadow shades in plum, violet, amethyst, golden pink, bronzy-gold, jade, dove grey, sable bronze, slate blue, olive, and khaki green.

For liner, try violet, navy, hunter green, and deep brown (only on top lash line, lining under your eyes will only make them look smaller).

For lips, try shades of coral pink, mocha, coppery-cranberry, and raspberry.

All applied with subtlty, of course! :~)
