I , If I wasn't running antihack and antispyware firewalls would run not walk, to symantec.com, or panda.com and run some free scans.
Arm your system or be web meat.
Consider web tech publications like; PCMag and PCWorld, and TechRepublic. They regulary evaluate firewall software.
Take your cue from them.

if you're looking for another e-mail program.....hotmail is free...AIM is free and has e-mail....and now, if you have your own internet connection, so is AOL ( e-mail and chat )
if you use Yahoo as your dialup ISP, I would look at Earthlink
