i've got to feel a little sorry for any creature whose every endeavor is an exercise in futility ... especially since he puts so much effort into everything ... plus that delusion of being a super genius ... to have that idea dashed at every turn seems a little harsh.

When your dog's paws twitch in his sleep, it's because he's indulging a common canine fantasy that he's Wile E. Coyote and he's just caught, plucked and roasted Road Runner.
It would sad if this ever happened, though.
Acme Corp. would go into straight into Chapter 11.
And motion physicists would've wasted years of ongoing research on unexplained phenomena e.g. - how a coyote can hang suspended in mid-air over a canyon until a little downwards glance releases the full force of gravity.

Nah: Wyle E. Coyote had me laughing at his mistries too hard to feel sorry for him. Road Runner and Wyle E. Coyote: now THOSE were the golden days of cartoons; today's cartoons suck.....badly.

Not only do I feel sorry for Wile E. But also Tom the cat and Sylvester the cat. Just once I would like to see Jerry and Tweety get their due.

I mean think about how much his health insurance premium increased everytime he hit a wall, got hit by a train, got blown up etc.

yes, but I have always wondered why if he can afford to buy all those weapons and tools from the ACME company why he doesn't just order some food. My friends tell me he doesn't want to eat the road runner he wants to have sex with it? HMMMMMM
