If you meant global poverty, it is by selecting a supplier that employs poor farmers and paying enough for the workers to live in adequacy. Providing micro credit is very good

They may have to work two jobs...one in food retail and one doing something else (maybe waiting tables).
It is always a good idea to further your education so you don't have to be stuck forever in a low paying job. Many community colleges offer grants or financial aid.

Poverty is closely conected to illiteracy. Sponsor a child's education somewhere. It is a start.
