A myth, no even modern, for the simple reason that aliens (i.e. extra terrestrial individuals) are not close to come by us. The closest possible alien civilisation would be in Proxima Centaury, 4 light years away. They could give us a visit IF they exist, IF they can travel at the speed of light, IF they are prepared for an 8 years trip, IF they knew we exist... and IF they really care.
I doubt...
The abductions exist in the mind of unbalanced people who need psychological, neurological and medical help.

Fake. I read about a Brazilian that said he was abducted and what he saw turned out to be a Russian booster rocket disconnecting in the sky.
