Lisa Lampinelli is good. I also like Ellen DeGeneres. I met her twice in New Orleans in the 70s, when her brother, Vance, was a popular radio jock back then. And I can say she's just as energetic, bubbly and sincerely nice back then as she appears on TV today.

Margaret Cho was the first person who popped in my head, but I think she's over-rated............she's been telling the same jokes since she started.
"Blah blah blah, my Korean mom is so funny, blah, blah, blah, l have lots of gay friends, blah, blah, blah, gay people are funny, blah, blah, my Korean mom talking about gay people is even funnier."
Um...most of my favorite "comediennes" are not that famous, and therefore, I've forgotten their names. There was one Australian chick...she had some joke about slutty sheep.
You know what? I agree that men are usually more funny than women...I think it's because they're more laid-back, in general. I notice that I can usually joke around with men a lot more than I can with women, because most women will take everything as a back-handed comment.
I can count the number of times I've pissed off some guy with a joke of mine on one hand.
Most guys can just roll with the punches more easily...
But the women who ARE funny, are usually very funny.
