Try a shopping area with seconds shops - factory clearance shops - sorry dont know real name but we have a really good one in Portsmouth, and I know there was one in Somerset too.

Asda is good,
Matalan has a sale on. Bought 2 T-shirt's, a tracksuit top, p'j's for my kids for less than £10
T K Max is also good if you are prepared to hunt
Next discount shops are also good. They sell returns / end of line stuff.
