Well that's a bit presumptious.
If Republicans did win, I would think McCain has a good shot because he has crossover appeal. However, he is pretty old now.
Otherwise, it's a crap shoot. It is not certain who will be running. It could be Schwarzenegger for all we know.

Wow...I apologize for you "knowing" that. You must not be up to date on political issues then...? Republicans are going to get slammed in this years elections and will no longer control the big three (president, house, and senate). There's honestly less than a 40% chance a republican will win presidency in 08. America wants a change. Bush hasn't done a single thing to improve our country and the party will take the downfall. The sad thing here is I vote republican a majority of the time but even I think there's little chance they'll win in 08. I say look out for a couple up coming democrats.

You must be high!!! After all this crap and how bad of a situation the US is in, I am appalled at your question!!! The other countries thought the Americans STUPID FOR EVEN VOTING HIM IN AGAIN IN OFFICE!!! ONLY HALF OF THE UNITED STATES ACTUALLY WANTED HIM AGAIN. WE THE SMART ONES KNEW BETTER AND DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM. I think the people of the USA are not stupid enough to put another Rep. in office. Heaven forbid if that happens I know that the computers that we vote on are tampered with and yet again the Rep.will buy and cheat their way in AGAIN.
