There are so many people justifying the Islamic fascist's and the palestinian attacks by claiming that Israel has no righth to be a nation where it is right now.
How does anyone get off believing this when Israel bought much of its land, and was given much of it. Also, they gave the Gaza strip back to them, right? And practically every country was fought over, taken or stolen. So where do we get off telling them that they can't exist? Lastly, if you were born in Israel, would you care about that stuff in the past, and really think everyone else is justified in attacking, for things you weren't alive to witness? Please give rational arguments based on facts that you can support. Thanks.

To Solipsistic: I just wanted to argue that, while we're "not seeing Native Americans murdered daily by US weaponry," at the time we came to the US, many were enslaved, killed and such. So your argument is false. Neither is Israel just murdering without thinking. They were attacked first the entire time. Nobody will leave them alone. If we think about the good of the whole world, terrorist groups should be stopped. Lastly, we're Israel's allies, so there's no amnosity towards the US from them. And if Israel was destroyed, sure we would'nt be "out of Jews," but there would be many Jews missed.

To make sure we're all clear.
Palestine was a British colony during WWII. There was a joint decision in which Britain allowed that colony to become the Jewish state.
I get the feeling from people that they think the Jews just showed up one day kicking down the door. This was a decision made by the "landowners" so to speak.

Those "Sabras" may have been born in Israel, but they represent a continence of, what many see as, colonialism. We, The States, are largely a product of colonialism, true, but we're not seeing Native Americans be murdered daily by US weaponry......are we? We've got to consider the well-being of the whole region and, more importantly, the whole world, before we think about some little neo-colonial, oppressive, regionally-destabilizing state. A state which produces much deserved animosity towards The United States. Also, I worry that the existence of the Jewish State has the potential to subvert the loyalty of World Jewry, especially US Jews. Remember, over 1/2 of world Jewry lives in The States, so even if something happened to Israel, it's not like we'd be out of Jews or anything.
Shalom!

Israel does not belong there. They stole that land that they are on. America set Israel up in the middle east To keep the peace there. Whether the people like it or not , it has to be that way. Simply because there are too many tribes in the region. Look at Iraq! You have the sunni's, the sheite muslims. And all would kill for what they believe in. Yes Israel was created by the western world. Yes The land Israel is on belongs to palestine . Yes America supplied Israel with arms and missiles. However it needed to be done.

There was no Israel after end of second world war. Using your words it was stolen by Jews by smuggling their community. Fascist community existed in Europe before the end of Second War and was defeated. It is all fruitless discussion.
Reality is that world is now global village. Young generation want progress and prosperity. No body likes bloodshed. President Bush and other world powers knew the issue and are trying to address the problem. You will see that within 100 years there will be no hindrance for a Jew to become head of Philistine or an Arab in Israel to become Prime Minister of Israel. It is unthinkable now.

Questions like this tell you everything you need to know about the conflict in the Middle East.
If you start from the premise that everyone has a right to exist, and that every side has its justifications and grievances a solution may be possible. While all sides blame and accuse there will never be a solution.
Move on, and work on the future without dwelling in the past.

It has every right!!!
Jews are originally from the land of Israel. ISRAEL is the name God gave to Jacob (as in Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob).
They lived in the land of Israel from the times of Abraham though his son Isaac and his son - Jacob. The 12 children of Jacob with their families traveled down to Egypt and had been enslaved there for many years. Moses took them back through the desert into Israel. In Israel they built a beautiful and big kingdom during King David and its lineage. The Jews stayed there until 70 AD.
At the year 70 AD The Romans kicked them out. Through the ages they where scattered all over the world. They where persecuted, mostly by the church and suffered many assaults and transfers. (Some of them came to America to avoid these persecutions).
A lot of the European Jews eventually said - "We got the point, nobody wants us around - we'll go back to Israel" And they did. From about the 18 hundreds a lot of European Jews returned to Israel (although, Jews never totally left Israel but where minority there).
When they came back to Israel - it was under the Ottoman Empire (Today Turkey), after that - The British Empire.
They got the land in 4 ways:
1. By right of return (you can argue about that, since it took them 1700 years).
2. by purchasing land from local Muslims and Christians.
3. After the Holocaust, the world recognized that Jews need a home because all the atrocities done to them anywhere else. So by UN vote on 1948 the modern state of Israel was established.
4. Day after the above declaration - 7 Arab countries attacked Israel and wedged a war on it. Some of the Jews that fought this war where just burly made it through the Holocaust, came to Israel and went straight to war. (A war that was not sought by Israel).
The Arab Muslims argue that the Israelis need to return to where they came from, meaning Europe.
The Jews lived in Europe, but Europe didn’t want them and it made it more then clear.
Besides - Half of the Israeli Jews are from the Middle East (Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon etc. I included). These Jews from the middle east where expelled from these Arab-Muslim countries into Israel. Point being made - these Israeli Jews are Indigenous to the Middle East. As part of the Middle East, they definitely invited all their brothers from Europe to join them.
Think about that - 500 Million Arabs in the Middle East in more then 15 countries, on land at least as big as USA.
Israeli Jews - 5 million in one country that is as big as NJ.

That's a very complicated issue. If I remember correctly (and I may have this wrong) the US gave Israel that land after WWII. I can see why the Palestinians would have objection to that, and why Israel would fight so hard to keep it.

Israel has much of a right to exist as Lebanon does. It also has a right to defend itself.
Unfortunately, lackluster support for Israel is not allowing it to win this war they're in.

Tranquility and peace have gradually descended to degenerate in to mere figure of speech only. To live and to let others also live is simple to talk about but in practice, is an utopia which none is willing to accept.
