standing on your head has nothing to do with it. if you want to conceive, you should calculate when you will be the most fertile. a normal cycle is 28 days long. a woman is only fertile on the 14th day after the FIRST day of her last period. calculate that and have sex the whole week days days before and after the fertile day and it should work. worked for me. good luck!

Actually the best time is to have sex BEFORE you ovulate. The day before would be the best time. If you wait to have sex until the day you ovulate or the day after then it might be too late. Scientists disagree on the time frame of how long an egg is healthy enough to be fertilized. Some say that it starts to deteriorate as soon as it is released (average is on day 14) and that sperm need to be waiting for it. Others say that you have a few hours. All agree that within 12 hours after you ovulate that the egg is too far gone to be able to be fertilized.
Average day of ovulation is day 14. You start counting on the first day of your period. They say "average" because some ovulate sooner and some later. If you cycles are the typical 28 days then odd are that you ovulate on day 14.
You can check you cervical fluid. When you wipe after you go to the bathroom notice if it becomes slippery. If the fluid looks like egg whites then your body is gearing up to ovulate. That is the time to have sex!
Check out the book "Taking Charge of You Fertility" for an in depth description on the hows of getting pregnant. It will tell you in detail how to tract a woman's cycle so that you can time the pregnancy. It is a great book!!
One poster said something about a test that you can buy. These can be a good help. You pee on them just as you would on a pregnancy test. There come (I think) 4-5 in a pack. If you think you are about to ovulate then use that test. It will show you if you are. A positive result on that test would mean....'you are about to ovulate so jump in bed quick!'
Good luck to you. Having a baby is a wonderful thing.

You need to know when you ovulate. If you have sex anytime other than a fertile time in your cycle, you won't get pregnant. You could try buying an ovulation predictor kit. Read the instructions carefully. If you are truly dedicated to conceiving, you should start charting your temperatures. There's a great book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and it explains a LOT about cycles and conceiving.

The time you are most fertile is 15 days after your period. As far as styles , there is no particular way that is going to get you pregnant faster(none proven anyway).
Drugstores sell fertility tests for women, they work the same way as a preggy test. The more expensive ones will pretty much spell it our for you.
My wife and i had problems getting preggy. And we did fertility testing and timing, and it worked.

tell your husband/whoever youre trying to get pregnant with to take zinc supplements and drink coffee. zinc is essential for healthy sperm, and caffeine naturally stimulates them and makes them swim faster.
