what result do we want to obtain by completing these mundane chores everyday? paying bills, going to work, etc...it's all too mind numbing for me. i hate going to work and having to be somewhere at a specific time everyday.what would happen if i'm 15 minutes late everyday? big deal, will production cease? what is the point of proving to them i can be punctual everyday? is it really that serious? will i be remembered for my perfect attendance?will my picture hang in the halls of the company for years to come with a plaque that reads "most reliable" ? if my job was to wake up at 5:30 everyday, get a massage drink a smoothie, i don't care, by day three i'm getting tired of this routine. when will life begin? i see myself in Ireland, London, Australia...anywhere but here...but will i have the balls to take control of my destiny?...probably not...i am forever a slave

Escapism is so important in this modern world we live in. The time clock is a relatively modern invention in the history of man. Up until about 100 years ago, almost nobody had a regimented way of working and living, and basically I'm sure it *is* unnatural to work 8-10 hours five days a week, to eat our meals and sleep our sleep at certain times each day. It shortens our lifespans and distracts us from engaging in the really important things in life. The stress is exacerbated because most of us are perpetually in a "reactive" mode. Instead of thinking inventively on our own, most of us simply respond to whatever or whoever is in front of us. It's like we're not even alive until something external stimulates us. That's not how it's meant to be, but when we live in a crowded world bursting with constant distractions, too often that's how it is.
Escapism is necessary for our sanity. We need to have an imaginary world in which we can retreat. Meditation is so important too, to communicate with our inner selves.

Think in positive way and we will find our life more meaningful.
It is nothing wrong to say "one man's work is anyother man's play". Most of us complete these mundane chores to give joy to others everyday. Last time you enjoyed eating out at a restaurant, did you see what mundane chores the waiters and waitress had done for you.
I believe most of the time we have to work for others. If you are tired of what you are doing and cannot get out of it, I think it is better for you to spend sometime to learn and to do whatever you love to fulfill your mental needs.

Hi Incubus me again. Do you know the fourth noble truths of buddhism? Unfortunately that is our lot in life but all hope is not lost.
Fear not for your purpose will be revealed to you when you least expect it and then the realiztion you so were in search of will hit you like gang busters. I think a little introspection will do you a world of good

It's a daily lesson, that anyone can break searching activities that enrich the people in more than the material way. But don't be confused, staying all day at yoga, doesn't solve anything.
You need balance in your activities: personal, professional, familiar, medical, exercise, spiritual.
Easy , no, satisfying , yes.

every one of us is a slave
a slave for his desire
or a slave for his mind
to understand your self best, you have to know how are you structured. each human have two parts in him/her, the soul and the mind. the mind and the soul is always fighting, for the mind is forcing regulations on the soul, and the soul wants to be free of all obligations.
take for example when you are sleep:
the alarm clock gets activated with the noise to wake you up for work.
the first thing that gets activated is the mind, telling you to get to work.
yet, the soul tells you to take extra 5 minutes of sleep, and the battle goes on (who ever wins leads). Now you would think the side that makes you getup and go to work is your mind, but that could be false.
your soul likes luxury (car, cells, cable, jewels) and wants it, even if that means getting up to go to work early in the morning. Now where does the mind really jumb in, it does when you really make a great aim and go for it.
most of us wants to live his life and that's all. he or she does not live for a cause that he/she struggle for. Most of us look at this life from the eyes of Hollywood. we think that every one is happy but us. what we have to do is to look at people who contributed to mankind, and read how there life was.
instead of living just for your self live for something
live for your child
live for your parents
live for your research
live for your student
live for your spouse
live for them and love them
than life will have a taste , and you will love everything around you, because you know that they consider you as a treasure

Take action and make the best of life. Do what you feel is best, and get peoples to support you. And if you don't know if you can control your destiny get advice from someone you know.
