I am not attracted to girls in any way at all, but I know I will have to be with one some day and have kids, since I have no siblings. Does that still mean I am straight?

You sound GAY to me.

Being forced to have relations with girls because that's the only way to continue the blood line does NOT make you straight.

I just hope the girl knows what is going on when all this occurs.

Having no siblings DOES NOT mean that you HAVE TO have children. If you've never experienced any attraction towards females, then it would be extremely unfair to subject a female (and possibly a child) to a devastating situation.

The decision to have children should be a mutual decision, based upon love for each other - not the result of "being expected to by a third party".

What makes someone straight is an exclusive sexual and romantic attraction to the opposite sex. A person who has sexual and/or romantic attraction to persons of either gender is known as a bisexual.

If you feel no attraction whatsoever to any member of the opposite sex, then you cannot simply make yourself become attracted to them.

I consider myself to be bisexual, but my attractions do vary over a period of time in terms of who I'm attracted to. I didn't experience my first attraction to a member of the opposite sex until I was 16.

If you are not attracted to girls in any way then I dont think you can be straight. If you are attracted to guys (which you dont mention) then of course you are gay. You sound quite young to me and at a young age nothing is set in stone. No matter what you are dont worry about it bud theres worse things in the world you could be. Like a homophobic bible-basher.Ok just checked your 360 and seen you are 18 so if you arent attracted to girls in any way by 18 I dont think you can be straight. Take care!

Well I guess that being attracted to the opposite sex is one thing that might make you sraight. I knw that it is a lot of pressure being the only child and feeling like you have to produce to keep you family going but you really dnt. There are so many people in this world we dnt need more just to keep a certain blood line going. I would say find a partner and adopt that would be an honorable thing to do.

Yes I think it does, you have the hopes of some one straight.
Also I don't no your age maybe, or life, maybe there has been a chance for girls to become attractive to you.

It will work out, but if you really want what you said you need to give the girls a go, we are very capable you know.

You never stated if you were attracted to guys. You don't have to be something that you're not.
You can find a woman to have a baby (or babies) with and not be with, under both your terms of agreement. But I'll give you a clue......accept who you are.
I would say your straight and your just waiting for the right girl that catches your eye.

What? You'd breed with a woman just to pass on the family name? That's what you're saying. If you are not attracted to women, and not in love with one, you should not lie to one for the purpose of having children. As a gay man you can adopt, you can go through some kind of surrogacy arrangement, or you can accept yourself for who you are and move on with your life. But please don't mess up the life of some innocent woman, and bring innocent children into this world based on a lie.

It could be two things. Either you are not thinking about women enough for the future, i.e. married, kids, etc... or you are scared of the thought because you look too deep into the future and that has made you afraid. Actually, there is a third, you could be gay.

Nope. It means that you have a lot of guilt and sense of family values. And these may change as you get older and realize that these are not good reasons to bring kids into the world.

You can't develop a straight identity, all you can be is you. Think about experimenting and see if both sexes are you taste. But if you see yourself as gay, go with the flow. But only what's natural to you.
