Last night, at around 3 am I woke up to this loud noise coming from my kitchen. I woke up instantly and listened to the sound of something hitting my kitchen counter. I woke my husband up and we both walked to our kitchen while the noise continues. The noise all of a sudden stops as we got about 4 feet away from the counter. There was no one or nothing in sight. It got quiet, too quiet. I was so afraid to go back to sleep and I turned all the lights on in my house.
I am curious, anything similiar happen to anyone? Or anything out of the ordinary and frightening ever happen to anyone?

Haha. I do not have household rodents. The noise sounded as if someone were slapping there palms on top of the counter. The sounds were coming from the 'top' of the counter, not from the bottom.

i lived in a house that had strange things happen for no reason. my gf even saw something in the garage that she says was there. we think it was a poltergeist. the plus side to this was: all the houses in the neighborhood were vandalized exept for the one i lived in. i think "it" protected the house while bugging the crap out of us.

even i've heard a ghost story near my home ... the house lock gets opened every night even if we lock it r even if the lock is changed.. n if some one sleeps inside that house they get scraces in thier faces with out their knowledge n they they get it know only in the mornin when they get up
