The question is .... are Mitsubishi cars reliable. An informative website to to get objective information is Consumer Reports.

I've done considerable research on cars. Unfortunately Mitsubishi cars been rated below average over the past several years and there are certainly better makes available - i.e., Subaru, Toyota, Honda. Subaru consistently makes wonderful cars and was rated #1 in reliability in 2005; both the Forester and Impreza were giving top scores from the IHS.

A few year ago the comany admitted they had been making defective products for 25 years. Why? Because there records were discovered. They apologizied, some people got fired. Now they say they are making quality vehicles. Hmmm wasn't that what they were saying before. I owned one, worst piece of junk, pretty, but junk none the less.

Their cars usually score well in the JD Power surveys on this side of the pond (UK). The most reliable cars are Honda, Toyota and Hyundai.

dont listen to all of these people who are saying yes. mitsubishi makes cheaply built cars and sells them at a high price. the other day a brand new mitsubishi eclipse came to the carwash where i work and it just fell apart going through the fans. pieces just started comming off of it. im not even kidding. its garbage.
