The dodecahedron has 3 stellations. Which do you mean?
I think you were referring to facets.
Small stellated dodecahedron
Great dodecahedron
Great stellated dodecahedron
each has 12 faces, by definition.
if you mean discrete boundary planes, thats a different question.

12 faces
There are two types.
1)Small stellated dodecahedron.
2)Great stellated dodecahedron.
Both have 12 faces

deca is for 10 and do is for 2 , so a dodecahedron has 10+2 = 12 faces.

I would say 12 faces, because dodec-- means 12.
