Pirates Of The Carribean 2 is a sequel because the first such film did very well at the box office and Hollywood goes after the all mighty dollar. Enough said.

i dont know what you are talking about, the movie starts and ends in the carribean, in the middle they are on some island like new guniea, when it ends jack is supposedly dead and the guy he killed to get the black pearl returns from the dead.
