My steering wheel is almost a complete band of it's own. I use it as a drum, a keyboard, a guitar and even a horn!

Yes, a few people I know use their car as a drum set. Especially those who actually play the drums (percussion). They use many things to tap on, unconsciously.

Dashboard no.. its too far off. But the steering wheel yes. This, i guess i attribute to the restlessness that our hands evidently possess.

Absolutely! My husband used to be a drummer in a band, and he is constantly "playing the drums" in the car..... the worst of it is when i am sitting next to him.... he occasionally gets so carried away, my leg becomes part of his "drum kit"! Ouch!!
