What it really boils down to is that having sex is neither cool or un-cool.
First, it's none of their business if you're a virgin or not.
Second, it's a decision for YOU to make.
Third, despite my second point, it should be with someone you truly love.
Fourth, I'm not naive enough to tell you to wait until you're married. Only morons still believe that happens. HOWEVER, I'd suggest at least waiting until you're in a very stable and loving relationship (possibly even being engaged).
Fifth, I'm not going to lie to you. Sex is fun, but it also has its dangers (STD's, pregnancy, infections, etc.). Some men like a more "experienced" girl and others really appreciate a woman who's a virgin. Sure, you can learn from having multiple partners and bring those new techniques into the bedroom with your next lover; however, you can also learn from ONE partner who stays with you forever.
Virginity and/or having sex is not cool or uncool. It's your decision, it's your body, and it's no one else's business. Virginity is something you have when you're born and when you lose it, you can never get it back. So make your decision wisely and be sure that once you've lost it, you won't regret it.
And finally, while some people here may disagree with my telling this to a teenager, I think it will help once you've made the decision to have sex. If you agree to make love, be sure to tell him you're a virgin and tell him to go slow and be very very gentle. If he doesn't go slow and he isn't gentle, tell him to stop. Your first time should be soft, slow, sensual, and pleasurable. It shouldn't be fast, rough, and painful. Unfortunately, most teenaged boys don't know how to "deflower" a girl painlessly and sensually (I don't care what ANYONE says, a girl's first time doesn't have to be painful or pleasureless - It can be very pleasurable and satisfying). As for teenaged boys... First off, they're not experienced enough in sexual etiquette and knowledge. Secondly, half the time, they're too horny and excited to even care that you're anything but a masturbation hole for them. And remember, even if you've started to get intimate with a guy and you start getting nervous before you actually have sex, you have the right to say no. There is nothing wrong with stopping. You should never regret stopping and you should never continue just to make him happy. That's why it's called "consentual sex." It means that you're BOTH ready. If one of you isn't, you should stop. And if he truly loves you and respects you, he'll understand that, he'll stop, and he'll wait until you're ready.
In the end, it's not about cool or un-cool. It's about you... Your decision, your body, your business, and your heart... Take it seriously, consider the consequences, and be sure that you'll have no regrets...

Are you crazy! That's,peer pressure in the 1st degree. wait a couple of years when they turn up pregnant. Then you'll see how cool being a virgin really is. And it's nobody's business if you're a virgin or not. You can always have sex but you only get one chance in life to be a virgin. Save it for the man you'll love forever. Note that I said "man". Not "boy", "guy", or"dude" because those are the ones saying virginit isn't "cool" while a man would say it's a virtue, and will be happy you saved something so special for him.

you shoudnt be pressured into losignyour virginity. I did when i was 14 and i regret it alot. But if you find a guy and trust him and only if you feel ready then it would be ok to have sex for the first time. But if you wait till your older guys will think of you more sexually attractive. Guys in high school seem to like virgins alot. But be careful make sure the guy is someone who you love and trust with all your heart.

Well everyone at school should just mind their own business. Its very cool to still be a virgin! you should just tell them that you don't have to worry about pregnancy and std's like they have to worry about since they're having sex. take it from me I'm 19 and sex is not a big deal. it just causes 2 things, stds and pregnancy. I would say to wait till marriage but only about 5 percent does. it would be great if you could wait that long though.i would say wait until you find someone that you can actually say that you love and someone who's not just trying to get into your pants. but whenever you do start having sex just please please be careful and have safe sex, with a condom. there's too many stds out here and some are not curable. you don't want to catch something you cant get rid of. good luck i hope you make the right decision.

Being a virgin is the extreme in koolness! It most certainly beats the alternative at your age--pregnancy. Also, it's better to be known as a virgin than being known as "easy".

You'll know you're ready when you realize that it doesn't matter what people at school say. It's not cool either, to give it away to the wrong guy, who'll tell all his friends, make up stories about you and ruin your reputation and first experience. Wait long enough to find a guy you can REALLY trust. Meanwhile learn to masturbate (if you haven't already). Most young guys are such bad lovers, they won't be able to give you an orgasm like you'll be able to give yourself. So your girlfriends who are supposedly so cool as they are having sex, are not really getting much out of it when you think about it.

the earlier you lose your virginity, the earlier you'd face lots of complications of being sexually active (pregnancy, STDs, PID and tons of other stuff, varrying from mild to serious).
so until you as physically and mentally prepared to face all the consequences that comes along with sex, stay a virgin. u need to be at a level where you can understand the changes your body goes through as you become sexually involved.
being cool has got nothing to do with being a virgin or not. its all about being able to be responsible of your actions and its about how you plan to make your life meaningful.
cheers!

if they all jumped off a cliff would you do the same...... gosh that is an old line... but alot of wisdom in it.
Loosers love company... they lost something precious and can't stand anyone having a different view. You will be dealing with people like this your whole life so learn to stand your ground, have a belief that you are smarter then that and won't follow the swine over the cliff. ummm... be proud too be who you are, as you are.
