whats wrong if some of my clothes are not kept in the cupboard, or a few books are lying on the bed, that does not affect my studies or health, or creates trouble for others.

That's not really clumsy, it's messy. I think she's trying to teach you to be responsible. It's easier to be an organized adult if you have learned the habits of organization early. Aside from that, maybe she's embarassed when people come by and see that your room is sloppy. Possibly she thinks they will think badly of her as a mother.

Some people would say just the opposite. When you have an organized and clean space to live and work in you tend to be more creative and your brain can work better. It also is said to help you be more calm.

Maybe if you cleaned your room you would be able to spell better and know that you are supposed to capitalize the first letter of the first word in a sentence. Your mom is just trying to help you so listen to her. When my son doesn't put his stuff away I take it away.
