He's just a blatant rip off of the comic charachter Jimmy corrigan.
Jimmy corrigan has a football shaped head with similar hair, overalls. the only slight difference is that jimmy corrigan fears his mother and wants to escape her. And by the way.. Corrigan was first published in 1991.

i didnt realize that. Im sure the writers of family guy intentionally made stuey in corrigans likeness. Kindof like Fez from the 70's show is like the fonz...but then again in ways, his opposite. IMO, stewie was a lot better in the earlier episodes of FG. He needs to go back to trying to kill lois, and making wmd's. That was funnier than he is now.

I think his character is kinda of funny, but i really only see it when my sister watches it, I think the show is overrated.
