Has any match left you in joy?
For me there was only sorrow and tears, Germany vs Italy, I couldn't sleep for two weeks after that one.

go_brasil: You are right, that goal by Grosso was pure luck, and the second one Germany knew they had already lost (because there was less than a minute left!) so they let Del Piero score. It was the biggest shock ever, BROKE MY HEART!

Daniele N: The France vs Italy final broke my heart too. When it went to penalties, I couldn't watch, and then Trezeguet missed...when I saw him crying, I broke into tears and cried too. France deserved to win that game, it's true, it was just really very bad luck.
Same with Germany vs Italy, but that one I was in so much shock it took me two days to grasp what had happened. As Lehmann, Ballack and Neuville walked off the field in tears, it was like I was in a bad dream, the shock of losing right before a penalty shootout...it was too much to bear. This World Cup really was heartbreaking.

Well, so I'm not the only one, Lady_starlight. I couldn't sleep for one month!!!!!! I was so sure that it will go to PK match... I can't remember my sorrow and pain, and how much tears I dropped that night. Even until yesterday I still can't get over it. I'm so sad. I love Germany more than anything. I encourage them and love their spirits and enthusiasm. They're the most spiritful team in the wc. When they beated Argentina, I'm soooo sure that Italy wont be a lot of problem. Even now, I still hope I can change the past so that Germany would win and I don't need to broke in tears. See this video below :

The game of France Vs Brazil and Liverpool Vs Milan left me in joy until now
the Argentina games against Germany both years 2006 and 1990 when those games were given to Germany by the referees

In terms of my favorite teams:
Best - when Germany beat Portugal for 3rd place, so happy for Germany plus I thought it was a good revenge on the diver c. ronaldo, lol.
Worst (?)– when Brazil lost to France….didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, I was sad for my team but I was also happy for zizou.. weirdest WC moment for me, lol.
in terms of sportsmanship:
Best – Brazil’s matches…thought they fully deserved the fair play award : )
Worst – Portugal vs. Netherlands, all those red cards, what a disgrace.
In terms of excellence:
Best – opening game Germany vs. Costa Rica –had all the ingredients of a great match….runner-up: Cote D’Ivoire vs. Serbia & Montenegro – no stakes game but well fought and thrilling till the last sec
Worst – Italy vs. Germany….until the first goal was scored, I thought this was one of the most one-sided contest I’ve ever seen ---Germany as usual played great attacking football which was excellent but the other team unfortunately was all defense and it bored me to tears. Don’t know what the deal is, isn’t football supposed to be a scoring game? Frustrating when one team plays all out and the other one just defends. Italy finally won 2-0 but I couldn’t help thinking those goals were just pure luck. I’m no expert obviously so maybe I’m wrong but this brand of game kills the excitement of football for me. Nothing personal, just me speaking as a fan…..

I can't forget and I won't forget the date,May 26,1999,in Nou Camp,FC Bayern was "robbed(at least I think so)" by Man Utd.Stangely enough,I loved FC Bayern deeper since the match.And the most joyful match is in the 00-01 season,FC Bayern scored in the last few seconds.I was crazy!The match Germany Vs Italy is also impressive and sad,I have to take an exam the next day so I missed it.When I turned on the radio the next day my heart sank...When I heard some Italian fans called Germany "stupid ones",I even wanted to teach them a lesson.But I didn't do that finally.

Tears, I'm still teary and stunned about the France vs Italy game.
France was winning...
Joy, was Portugal vs Holland, I love Deco. The players were stressed to the max and played with vigor.
Irritating, was USA vs Italy, the latter had the referee on their side.

Best game : France vs Brazil.I was soo happy with the result.
Worst game:WC 2006 final, France vs Italy,I almost broke into tears in front of my whole family after watchin the match.Though i had got my xam results a few days bfore the match and i had scored very well, i couldnt enjoy my holidays coz i was so depressed for almost a week after the match.

The worst game I ever saw was Argentina vs Germany in the wc...I almost cried but didnt......another bad game was Portugal vs Netherlands in this WC(though I enjoyed it)
In joy...well I was very happy when Italy finished the Germs' hopes of getting the gold

Best game was the opener, six goals, close game, electric atmosphere. Worst game was probably Paraguay-England or Croatia-Japan. England-Paraguay, Holland-Serbia Montenegro, France-Switzerland, Togo-Switzerland, Paraguay-Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine-Tunisia, and England-Ecuador, all left me in tears because they were so pathetic and I wasnt aware that football quality could be so low in a world cup. And Germany-Italy was also...a blow. The rest of Germany's games (particularly the one against Poland), and the non-losses for the African teams left me with joy. Christiano Ronaldo beating England was probably the best moment of the cup though... the downside being that I had to hear England fans ***** about him being a cheater...for...I dont even know...anyway.

The best game was Germany vs Italy that was a great game, both played excellent....My worse game this World Cup was Italy vs USA...The World Cup that made me cry was when Korea beat Italy in 2002 but I still loved them!

Best Game: Probably Germany-Italy, a great performance by two champions, although the Czech's performance against the US was great to watch
Worst: Definately Portugal-Netherlands,I'm sure the Netherlands lost a huge number of nuetrals that night
