whatever isn't hard on their throat. There isn't a special diet! Just eat soft foods, mashed potatoes, jello, ice cream, popsicles...etc

I agree that the salt solution gargle is good. But also try not to drink or eat anything that is acidic. That would be the orange juice, lemon juice, tomato juice. (Catsup...) Soothing teas should help also. The chicken soup is good, too. Anything soft and non irritating. Are you sure it is laryngitis? Your throat may need more if it is an infection. There are plenty of bugs out there affecting people lately even in the middle of summer. Also, allergies might be causing this. If you are old enough.....drinking a few alcoholic type drinks can both disinfect and sooth the throat and...is all natural, too. I hope you are old enough for that answer.

I find the best foods for a sore throat is brothy soup, jello, or ice cream. I would also drink lots of water, juice (for the Vitamin C) and 7-up or Sprite, since it's important for you to keep up your immune system and also to stay hydrated!!
Hope you are feeling better!

You can eat anything you want. There are no restrictions.
If your throat is really sore, then sticking to liquid or soft foods is good for a day or two. Soup, ice cream, mashed potatoes, macaroni/cheese, anything soft.

if your throat is so sore that you can't swallow soft foods then you probably have tonsillitis or a strep throat and need antibiotics - I once had such a bad strep throat that it almost killed me because I eventually could not even swallow water and began to dehydrate - hope you get better soon
