The reason I ask is because I once knew someone that worked in the food industry that told me it is a scientific fact that it takes 24 hours for food poisoning (ie: diareah) to occur after eating the food. However, in my own personal experience, I can eat something and get extreme cramps and diareah within an hour or less. I havent been able to pin point a certain food that has caused this. I just know that when I eat something bad it affects me very very fast. Is this normal or could this be a sign of a medical condition?

Here is a good overview of different kinds of "food poisoning", there are many different kinds, some have a sudden onset, some take days, even weeks.
Most likely if you are often getting this type of reaction you have health condition of some kind. But if you are saying that this reaction only occurs infrequently - perhaps once a year or so - you are probably just someone who reacts quickly to the "bugs" in their food.

Im not a doctor but I talk and research alot; It sounds like a med condition; ulsers,intestine prob maybe. Get checked, it could be damaging or even deadly due to poisens or toxins
