If I were you, I'd stay away from Bare Minerals because their mineral makeup is NOT as "natural" and "pure" as they say it is. Bare Minerals contain Bismuth Oxychloride. Here are some facts about that ingredient:
Bismuth Oxychloride is an inorganic compound made from combining bismuth with salt.
Bismuth is the by-product of lead and copper refining, as well as other metals to a smaller degree. Bismuth occurs very rarely in nature. It is very heavy and chemically resembles arsenic and antimony. Companies use this in their cosmetics because it is cheap to buy and is an inexpensive filler. Its molecular makeup is a crystalline shape, which may be a cause of the itchiness some women get when they wear it. Many women experience noticeable itching when they sweat. Don't forget it is also kin to arsenic, chemically. Your body will reject things it does not like, and if you'll get sick from ingesting arsenic, it would make sense that your skin would get irritated from having arsenic forced into it.
I was considering Bare Minerals until I found out about that. Between the two, I'd definitely go with Everyday Minerals since their minerals don't contain Bismuth Oxychloride. However, I get my mineral make up from Cory Cosmetics
(www.corycosmetics.com) because for one, it is the purest mineral makeup I've found (doesn't contain Bismuth Oxychloride) and she also has a Mica-free line as well (for those who have hyper-sensitive skin), and two, because she runs a very good business.
Hope this helps! :-)

Bare Minerals! I've been using it for about a year now and will never switch to another brand of makeup. I don't have the best skin (acne scars) and it makes my skin look flawless! Even better, it looks natural. You can control the coverage. It's so good for your skin that you can sleep in it without it clogging your pores. If you would like to try it, get a Starter Kit. I think it runs about $60. It comes with 2 foundations, mineral veil (finishing powder that gives you an airbrushed look), warmth (bronzer), flawless application brush, and a DVD. You can get it at Sephora or Ulta stores. Go to the store to buy it. Ask the sales clerk to find the best foundation shade for your skin.

My cousing uses bare minerals and it doesnt cover much. Its not really that good. The only thing i can say is it does looks natural-like if your not wearing any makeup. And if you buy it-please get a blush that matches your skin tone.

i think mineral makeup is just overhyped. It's not as good as you actually see it in those commercials. It can make your skin look very cakey because you have to apply the mineral foundation, and the setting powder n' then maybe blush or other things. If you have dry skin, your skin will flake and look cakey. If you have oily skin, you'll look really oily.

I use Loreal's. I just put in concealor and then apply the foundation after I shake the brush of excess powder! Then I go over areas that I want more coverage a second time (less is best). I don't put on a powder afterwards, and use a bright blush, very lightly, on the apples of my cheeks and top of nose. It looks very natural and sun kissed!
