There's really only one thing I would like to know, if we did fake it then how did the mirror get there? What mirror you ask?, the mirror that the apollo astronauts placed there so we could fire a laser beam at it and have it reflect back to us, how else could the human race pin point the exact distance away the moon is to the last millionth of a millimeter, and also that the moon is moving away from us 1 inch a year. So if we didn't go, how did the mirror get there, (I think it's safe to assume no one is that good with a slingshot)

Most images of the moon landing can go either way as to whether they are authentic and actual from the moon.

The one video that has always made me wonder though is the one of the lunar module igniting and supposedly taking the astronauts back to the command module from the moon surface.

As the module lifts off and heads up, a camera on the surface is filming . As the lander starts to leave frame, the camera backs away and pans up to film more of the take off.

My question is?
Which astronaut volunteered to stay behind to take that video?

My wife's father did perform fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, but I will spare you that speach. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.

The I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricon One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional movie about a fake mission to mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.

12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we simply don't have the resources nor technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.

The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you they they would have called is out if they have evidence that it was all fake?

Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 30+ years, scientist have been beaming lasers to the moon and meansuring the return times. How are they doing this? Because the beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on in onto 1 but 3 different locations.

Case closed.

G'day Bax,

Thanks for the question.

I don't think that the moon landing was fake. You have made a good point in your question.

The Apollo moon landing hoax accusations are a series of claims alleging that the Apollo Moon Landings never took place, but were instead faked by NASA. Many scientists, technicians and space enthusiasts who have commented on the accusations have rejected them as baseless, and many suggest that people look at the evidence and draw their own conclusions. Public opinion polls in the United States have shown that a large majority (89%) accept the Apollo missions as fact, while only 6% of people believe the conspiracy theories.

Very little evidence is presented for any hoax, the theories largely rely on unsubstantiated claims and supposed 'inconsistencies' in the historical record. No reliable evidence has been produced of the existence of a 'hoax studio', of people fabricating telemetry data, of people collecting astronauts from the South polar sea or dropping them into the Pacific to fake a splashdown. That people continue to peddle such nonsense reflects no credit on them.

Astronomer Phil Plait published a book in 2002 called Bad Astronomy: Misconceptions and Misuses Revealed, from Astrology to the Moon Landing "Hoax" (see chapter 17). John Wiley & Sons. ISBN 0-471-40976-6.

I have attached some sources for your reference.

It replaced into actual. all the meant "info" has been countered, many many situations. Faking it would not were a probability with the understanding and technologies of the situations, nor could any such pretend have stood as a lot as popular forensic diagnosis. Plus, the more effective all and distinctive seems afflicted some hoax, the more effective likely it truly is that the info will leak or honestly one of them will admit it outright. The type of persons necessary to faux a moon landing, which contains distinctive launches that 1000's of persons witnessed (except all and distinctive who went all the way down to observe them replaced right into a employed patsy-which contains the info media human beings) could have certain that a leak could have occurred someplace alongside the line.

I do not think that the moon landings were faked. There were many missions to the moon and back. One nearly turned into a disaster (Apollo 13). What hidden agenda's would have been served by faking so many missions? But let us just say for one moment that all of this was a fake. Then in order to carry out so many fake missions and at such huge scales you would require a ton load of public funding. Which means, a whole lot of governmental appropriations, which also means a whole lot of public debates, hearings, etc. before the approvals. So, is it possible that the government could get all this money, just to dupe the public, for no apparent reasons, and for so long? I don't think so.

if a person assumed the moon landing was faked, wouldn't that same person assume that the mirror on the moon is also fake?..maybe there is another way to know the moon distance from the earth...but seriously..a good question!

There are a lot of answer of this question. I think it was faked because, people wanted to prove they could go to other planets or satellites but there was no way they could do it. So they faked it all but it wasn't quite good cause people watched the video again and again to find out stuff they didn't see earlier and to figure it out that everything was faked.

Maybe because the picture that was taken on the moon where the flag was standing was moving and theres no wind on the moon. but ofcourse now they have and the aliens stepped on the moon first than us

in the famous video the flag was moving...not possible because there is no wind without an atmosphere. Also there is a radiation belt between here and the moon that todays experts say that its not possibe for humans to pass thru it and live. If we did make it to the moon, why did we never go back? Why has the Soviet Union never been there? During the Cold War a moon landing meant we were superior to the Soviets. IF YOU CANT MAKE IT- FAKE IT.
