No the EM pusle of x-ray burst is roughly a nano second, beyond which the imaging chamber is magnetically shield to prevent refraction. Labtops are fine, the hardrives are also magnetically shield because of its own components and the disruption they may cause to its operation. This shielding will also prevent damage based from this type of low level device. Exposure to high levels of course may can signigicant issues, radation is not man or electronics best friend.

Your pc would be fantastic. I constantly commute with mine and that they only component that they ask at protection is which you're taking away your pc and place it in its own bin to bypass by using the screening gadget on my own.

I dont know about laptops, but after taking my video camera through one , it doesnt work like it use to.

We have been told that it is not so. In fact they are also film safe. So unexposed photo negatives do not developed.
