In america, yes it is. Even though black people have had much success in baseball, it is still a whiteman's game in the sense that white people make up the majority of the spectators, and the baseball culture is that of whiteboys and white culture. In college, I see them, all with the same personality, attitude, and racial isolationist. They only associate with their own kind "white" usually stupid in between the ears, and thinks keg parties are the cool thing to do, as if that makes them a man. They follow the abercrombie lifestyle, one of decadence and snobery and white pride. Their value system is: no ethics, no morals, cheating is praised, getting away with the law is considered cool and an asset, cheating is an honored skill to have, steroid use is common, decadent behaviour is considered a priority, white superiorness is believed....and arrogance is mandatory

Baseball sucks anyway... who cares?

Football (Soccer to you) ... the world's sport!

I actually agree with a lot of what you said. But it sounds more like your disdain is for college jocks that it is for the culture of baseball. I don't blame you for either, though. Jock-heads are a joke. Take comfort in knowing that as smart as you are, you will probably be signing their paychecks one day.

But you are making a few sweeping generalizations that I think should be pointed out. Not all white people, nor even, I'd wager, the majority of white college students are this way. As for the baseball jocks, well, really...what do you expect?

In their defense, keg parties ARE a lot of fun! Abercrombie and pretty much all other "fashion" is kind of a joke. I buy what I like and wear it regardless of the label on it and anyone who doesn't like that can eat me.

As for a life of decadence, well I can't really whine about how someone ELSE chooses to treat their own life.

It sounds like the real problem you have is with the athletes who don't earn their own accolades, and who cheat to win. Well, I agree wholeheartedly with you about that. F**K those people.

But to accuse ALL white people or even ALL baseball players of the same behavior (whether bad OR good), when obviously not all are guilty of it, quite frankly shows a fair amount of ignorance and emotional immaturity.

In life, a LOT of people who do not deserve it get ahead. It sucks, but as long as we reward results and not the path TO the results, this will never change. Just keep to your own set of morals and ethics (as long as no one else is affected) and let others keep their own set of morals and ethics (as long as THEY aren't affecting anyone else). People who cheat might achieve low level success, but they will never be among the truly great.

Ironically, your description would almost perfectly fit for black basketball players as well.

1. Whites make up the majority of fans at NBA games.
2. The NBA is comprised of black boys and black culture
3. Black athletes also stick together (as do Hispanic soccer players, white hockey players, etc...)
4. Black NBA players are equally stupid as white baseball players. In fact I like to tape record interviews with black NBA players after a game and then have my students try to figure out what they just said. So, rest assured that white baseball players don't have any corner of the "dumb market." If you are assuming that black NBA athletes are smarter than most baseball players, you will find a small audience that will agree with you.
5. Black athletes don't drink, cheat, or break the law? Is this your first day on planet earth?
6. Black NBA players don't also follow a lifestyle of decadance, snobbery, and black pride?
7. You imply that black athletes don't think breaking the law is cool, and that they have HIGH morals? (the NBA has the biggest problem of random pregnancies across the country caused by immoral NBA players--NOT major league baseball players.) Incidentally are you aware that several famous white players (Joe Jackson and Pete Rose to name only two,) will never make the Hall of Fame due to illegal activities. Show me one black NBA player who will be denied his spot in the Basketball Hall of Fame for the same reason.

(Your arguments and claims are crumbling one by one.)

So to make a dumbass claim that white MLB athletes are somehow lower on the morality scale than athletes of other races involved in other sports is idiotic. The only people who will give your tirade any credence are those ignorant of the sports world around them and blinded by racial bigotry--like you are.

Umm, yeah...is Jose Conseco white? How about Barry Bonds? Do some research...look at the roster for any MLB team and you will see that at LEAST 50% of each team or majority of teams are Hispanic names...like from central and south America?!? As in...NOT white...??!?!! And the value system in baseball is not much different than ANY American sport...quite a bit of athletes share this "value system" you speak of...football?!? Professional athletes get paid for selling their lives to their coach, team, and fans! I am not saying just because they play a televised sport means they can pay off the law, spit in cameras and treat people like sh!t but, how many celebrities do you personally know anyways?

so what is the question? You seem to have your opinion down pat. I don't know why more black don't attend games. Many black players are sports heros. As for the whites "birds of a feather flock together".
