3500 cals are in 1 pound. 2.2 pounds are in 1 kilogram, so 7700 according to my math. Unless it's 2.5 pounds for 1 kg in which case just multiply 3500 x 2.5.

A pound of fat contains approximately 3500 calories and there are 2.2 pound in on kilogram. Therefore, you would have to burn about 7700 extra calories (above your daily metabolism) to lose one pound of weight. That's about 8 hours of running at 10 mph, or the equivalent of a 6 minute mile. Of course, how fast you lose the weight depends on your starting weight.
