So many people ask questions about their health here that can not be answered. Is medical treatment so expensive there?
In Australia basic health care is free, the questions I see are absurd!

yes it is and its getting worse. unless you have some kind of insurance coverage, hospitals and doctors will only do what is required so they can't get sued. the cost of medical attention here is going thru the roof and employers are cutting back on medical benefits. the squeeze is on. you are lucky, be grateful

we definatly have some issues with healthcare in the U.S. we do not have free heathcare and the cost of health insurence is very expencive, many businesses do not offer it at all and the ones that do are resorting to more and more flimsy plans to lower cost, as far as people asking absurd questions...well for one people ion here are from all over the world not just the U.S , some of the coutrys represented have pretty much no heathcare system and going to a doctor is almost out of the question, the ones from here that have absurd seeming questions many times are young people who dont knwo much about ANYTHING letalone health haha, i think theres plenty of folks on here that just simply dont go to the doctor or are worried about to many random things to go for everything they are concerned with.
oh and p.s.....why is it that you have an issue with the United States, we dont all think were better then everyone else, thats your own countrys propaganda, its absurd to me when i see so many people from other countrys spouting off about how were so self centered and think were the best thing on earth, most people i know dont think that at all, most americans look at europe as something really amazing and wish that our coutry was a little more like that, you have a wrong idea about the people of this country, were not all follish lambs following our government blindly, you are ignorent to make statements like that.im sick and tired of americans getting the shaft like that and all the feckin flat out lies that are spread around. we are no different then you were all individuals, whats REALLY funny is that some say were ungreatfull arrogent basterds cause we have it so good and then others say we think were the best and no other country holds up to ours, which is it?

Yes it is. I think it's way too expensive for just basic coverage and if you get even moderately sick and go to the hospital for non-emergency visits (like treatment for an ear infection), you have to pay it out of your own pocket anyway. It sucks.

BTW: Is that really how some of you perceives Americans? If so, then that's a real shame. I guess it shows you're just as ignorant about us as we are of you so I guess we share something in common with "the rest of the world" (wherever that may be) as I don't believe everyone in the "rest of the world" sees everything the same way unless they've been brainwashed against Americans by their government. ;)

Shitty health care I agree with, but dumb and sheltered... no. ;)

Yes it is expensive. It's also totally corporate. Many people have health insurance that makes care affordable, but when you want to see a doctor, it is such a hassle that many people don't have the time to bother with it unless the problem is VERY serious. Many countries have a much better system than we do. It's one of the many reasons that much of the world sees us as backwards.

nicely I artwork in an ER, and his healthcare plan gained't shorten your wait. there is already a governement funded insurance plan, that's call medicaid and medicare and a large type of the persons we see are on one or the different. Many more effective are eligible yet do not word. for all and distinctive that don't have insurance we attempt to rearrange for medicaid in the adventure that they qualify. in my opinion i love my inner most insurance selections. once they're pushed out of company and there is not any competition, the authorities can do even with they opt for. Socialism as an total does no longer artwork nicely for the persons as historic past will tutor you. Capitalism, competition, and advantages for exertions does.

I agree that the questions are absurd. But I think it is laziness on the part of the asker. They don't want to go to the doc or just are bored and want to ask a stupid question.

Come on...I cut off my finger what should I do..and everybody responds go to the doctor. That is a lack of brains talking not a reflection of the health system.

in case of emergency, go to a hospital, even if you don't have insurance. charity assistance will cover your stay (only ER). you must probably pay the doctors service by your self, but not the hospital bill.

yes i thought that USA had one of the worse health care, compared with so many other counties, USA only thinks that they are the best becasue thier government tells them that and they don't have much of a clue what is out side of the USA.
