There is no physical reason not to engage in intercourse during menses. Supposition that sex during menses can cause Endometriosis, one of the more popular arguments against it, has also been refuted and debunked. Menstrual blood is an entirely natural bodily fluid, and does not in anyway affect a man’s penis or a woman’s reproductive tract. There is even some anecdotal evidence that orgasm during menses can help alleviate menstrual cramping. Refusing to engage in intercourse during a woman's period is due to societal, cultural and religious taboos and not because of any valid scientific evidence that is harmful or will cause infection of any kind.

No its not bad.. Here is some advise:
Wait until your heaviest days pass, cover the surface where you're having sex with a towel and keep wet wipes within reach for a quick cleanup. When you're ready to do the deed, stick to man-on-top mode because when you're lying down, your menstrual secretions will likely be lighter than when you're upright. If you want to experiment with different positions but don't want to deal with the mess, insert a cervical cap, diaphragm or menstrual cup (an alternative to tampons and pads -- not a method of contraception -- that can be purchased at a local or online drug store) before you get busy.
Just remember, not only is it possible to get pregnant when you have your period, but since the opening of your cervix widens -- to let the unneeded buildup of the uterine lining leave your body -- you can be at increased risk for pelvic infections and HIV. So, unless you and your partner are STD-free, use condoms.

I never really liked it too much because its very messy. I cant really concentrate because i get too distracted wondering if im gonna stain the mattress or if the person your having sex with is getting grossed out. I dont know, to me its like a crime scene when your done!!!!!!!! I cant find anyway of turning that into a sexual moment!! Its grosses me out if you ask me. If im ever in the mood to while im on my period i go in the shower where its much cleaner. I have heard that you can still get pregnant while on your period.

Not at all. In my experience as a man most women enjoy it more. Have a towel underneath to prevent staining the mattress.

It's not bad to have sex during your period, just messy. If you must, sex in the shower should keep things bit cleaner. ;)

its disgustin 2 have sex while ur on ur period. u will get blood every where n uv got no chance of gettin licked out!

You can still get pregant even if you are on you period but other than that it is fine.
