Is there a future in cosmetology?

I want to b a cometologist but i dont really know if i should cuz a lot of ppl tell me that u dont really get good money?

There is soooo many women doing it now that you'd have a really hard time finding a job, sorry.

Unless you open your own shop in an area with little to no competition.

You can be a cosmetologist and make awesome money, but it won't be an overnight process. You will have to build your clientele and work on your skills to get there. My suggestion would be to go to cosmetology school and find a really good cosmetologist to mentor you afterwards, as most are willing to share their secrets of success with you. My mentor was a platform artist (a pretty big deal in the industry) and use to make about $2,000 every week.

Also, the cosmetology industry is depression-free. It's been proven that no matter what the economy is like, cosmetologists will always have jobs.

Good skill always pay.So why not if u believe in yourself.Go ahead but u can alway ask those in the profession for views.Read up the revelant article in the papers or in the internet.U can work in the revelant trade if u are any good u can open up your qwn shop.

Yes, you can work in a beauty salon, or take extra classes so you can open your own shop.. you could even go to Hollywood...! AND you could also work at a mortuary on Corpse's... I know gross, but it pays...

If you do a really good job, then yes. They're who makes Hollywood people look pretty.

That is not true because I am starting school for it Aug. 21st and my school garaunteed me a job before I am done with school! I have huge plans for my license anyways that is why I am getting it!
