You mean rubbing it on your pant leg or back pocket isn't the best way?

Peace!

are you tryin to remove dust or scratches? if your just tryin to clean the dirt off, you need to go to an electronics store and buy some alcohol solution and get some scrubs....if not, you can try blowing the dust and rubbing away from the center toward the outside of the cd with a mild cloth, like a wifebeater or something smooth like that....if its scratched, you need to massage some whitening toothpaste over the bottom of the disc. make sure its whitening toothpaste. when youve aplied to the toothpaste to the entire underside, you will need a sheer cloth like i said, a wifebeater or something similar, and you need to pull from the center to the outside of the disc and remove the toothpaste. this will fill in the scratches. yoru not damaging the cd, your only filling in the gaps left by the scratches. cd should work fine after that. ive tried it, it works

The best way is also the simplest way.
Soap (& water) to clean, abundant water to rinse and a (very) soft piece of cloth to dry. Never exert pressure on the cloth when you wipe the CD. One little grain of sand can do a lot of damage when rubbed over the delicate surface.

I guess anything smooth, like those glasses-cleaning cloths> microfiber cloths.

Just remember to always wipe from the inside-OUT, don't wipe in circles.
