The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was a popular American sitcom that aired on NBC from September 10, 1990 to May 20, 1996
The show was originally supposed to end in Spring 1994 due to Will Smith's desire to venture off into other projects hence the series finale ending for the season. After the episode was filmed in March, Smith told producers after fan reaction he wanted to continue on with the series.
Will Smith announced before the sixth season even started taping that it would be his last season on the show as he wanted to focus on his film career and he wanted to record an album and he didn't think he would have enough time to do all three at the same time.
Janet Hubert-Whitten left the show over contract issues and creative differences with Will Smith, who by the last season was the executive producer of the show. Daphne Maxwell-Reid was her replacement. Many fans point to this cast change as the moment when the show "jumped the shark"
(Jumping the shark is a metaphor that has been used by US TV critics and fans to denote the tipping point at which a TV series is deemed to have passed its peak.
(Once a show has "jumped the shark," fans sense a noticeable decline in quality or feel the show has undergone too many changes to retain its original charm.
(The phrase specifically arises from a scene in the hit TV comedy series Happy Days in which one of the central characters, Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli, on water skis, literally jumps over a shark)

Well there are always several diferent reasons. The first reason was that the broadcast company was paying the acters too much for one episode. they were getting paid 15,000 dollars per episode and plus the air channels pricing for putting the show on the air was raising perfusly throught the shows great raitings. This is also what hapened to the tv show Full House.

Will Smith was ready to call it quits with the way his movie career was about to take off. He didn't have the time to do both. Plus the show was never the same after the mother changed. Besides, he was only there to finish high school and he was about to get married and attending college. The show outlasted its story.

Basically, it wasn't so Fresh anymore. Died with its era, and Mr. Will Smith wanting to be known for something else.

i guess they couldn't think of any other possible situations for them to get out of. or, maybe they didn't want to show them after they moved out.
