If there is an emergency in early to mid October requireing him to stay on will you find that suspicious and do any of you think it's likely to happen?

No, I do not think that will happen. If he did do that, I'd have to see what kind of emergency it was before I made a judgement about it. Didn't something like that happen with FDR during WWII? It really depends on the circumstances. But the way things are going now, I don't think we'll have to worry about that around election time. Good night!

Oh, yes . . . you should have a look at the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution: http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.amendmentxxii.html
It forbids a president to get elected more than twice. How did FDR do it? He was in office before the Amendment was ratified. See here: http://www.cnsnews.com/facts/2003/facts20030529.asp

Good night!

Um, the Constitution has an amendment against a president serving more than 2 terms...period. And the presidential election isn't in November, it's mid term elections. All members of the House of Representatives are up for election/re-election because they serve 2 year terms. Plus, 1/3 of the Senate is up for election/re-election as well, as they serve 6 year terms. Plus, many state governors are being elected as well.

I won't be surprised given the man's regular regard for the constitution. Someone on here thought he was the best president? Obliterating checks and balances by placing incompetent individuals in the organizations that are checks to presidential power? Wiretapping civilians without warrants? I expect him to outlaw women voters, while giving the death penalty to a homosexual that got a civil union in his 15th year of office. I will have long since moved to London by then, though, and be doing my Twilight Walks in Traflagar Square as an expatriate.

No it wont happen because liberals wont allow it. The next president would just have to continue where he left off and something were to come up. Hopefully one who will somehow work with Bush to find a positive outcome and not just go and do their own thing and mess up things.

Vincent Foster - former White House Counsel, found dead of a gunshot wound to the head and ruled a suicide. He had significant knowledge of the Clintons' financial affairs and was a business partner with Hillary. If the Clintons are guilty of the crimes they are accused of by Larry, Vincent Foster would have detailed knowledge of those crimes

No. Its not going to happen.
In America, when a president finishes his term, then that's it.
So there is nothing he can do to raise our suspicion that his actions are in order to promote this scenario that you are proposing.
What ever he is doing, its because him and his cabinet think its what they need to do.

If that happens I think that he will end up dead, because all of America has had it with his ****, I wouldn't be surprised if someone assassinated him if that was to happen. I certainly know that when his term is up I will never believe in another Bush in my life!!! I don't trust them they are all the same!

That would be just like Bush (and Karl Rove) to try and pull something like that off.

Sadly, I would not be at all surprised if something like that did happen.
