Ok, going to get alot of crap for this one. I was born and raised in California until I started traveling...after 32 states, the most incredible state when it comes to beauty, food, people, traffic, and all other factors.....would have to pick between Minnesota and Arkansas. Always thought California was the greatest state but after traveling around...sorry to say.....but from the states I've seen, CA is down on the bottom of the list......it's not even a fraction as glamorous or great as people see in movies or TV..the OC 90210 and all others is NOT an accurate depiction of the state

TEXAS, It's like a whole other country. They have many cities and wide open spaces. They have an ocean and deserts. Swamps, prairies, and forrests also cover the landscape.Very rich in heritage that no other state can match. If you want that California or Miami vibe,Texas has that covered with Austin. Texas has the most reconisable state flag, the best roads, and a very diverse population.......oh yea, I don't live in Texas

I must say, the best state in the USofA has got to be Utah. Here in Utah, we have beautiful mountains, a great choice for residents to live on the Wasatch Front (Between Ogden [North of Salt Lake City] and Provo [South of Salt Lake City]), where you can get a good, suburban lifestyle, or anywhere else in Utah, with a relaxing country life.

imo New York State. Cultural and geographic diversity at its best! Upstate you have great towns such as Rochester, Albany, Ithaca, then downstate you have the monster that is NYC! Most people just think of the city when NY is mentioned, but upstate's geography(Adirondacks, Catskills, Fingerlakes, Hudson Valley) is amazing. It also borders 2 great lakes as well as an ocean.

Most people will pick their home state. I live in Florida. There are alot of things to see and do here. Such as Disney, Busch Gardens, Daytona, St. Augustine, Tampa, Miami, and many miles of beaches. There are football, baseball, hockey and basketball teams. Auto racing, stage plays, concerts, Dali Museum, Museum of Science and Industry, Aquariums, fishing, gambling boats, Hard Rock, water sports, beach volley ball, and numerous other things to do. In the winter is is nice and warm, and you never have to worry about traveling in the snow.

Alaska!! I only say Alaska because it is the last State we have not destroyed yet. Still alot of Mother Nature going wild! I love all the other States but their time has come and gone. I just hope we can hang on to something without destroying it;s beauty!

Michigan...It is beautiful and has a lake on each side. If you go from Holland to Detroit you can say you went coast to coast :) also there is a lot of wildlife there to be seen.
