well let me be clear....u want to acces some files that u put manualy on the recovery partition(d:).....and when u click u get that msg"sayin not to delete none of the files"...right..????

ok if thats the case u have to RIGHT_CLICK on the d:drive and click OPEN on the menu...(DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK)
that should do it....u will see a folder (more like a lock)called recovery...and besides that u should have ur files if it was not deleted during recovery...

When I bought my HP, I had to create the recovery disks.

Never put anything else in D. HP recommends D be deleted after disks created. Everything that came w/ the box should have been on the disks - including the OS (HD) portion.

Take the box & Recovery CDs to someone with the expertise to corectly wipe your HD and reinstall the OS/software.

you have to select to see all hidden files. the files ur looking for are clearly in a sensitive area so ur computer may automatically hide them from you.

to see these files, click on start and go to your control panel, then select appearence and themes, next select folder options. click the view tab and there will be a list, find hidden folders and files and select show hidden files and folders, hope this helps...
