Yes, we do. In fact, with all the multi-cultural stuff on kids tv so do my children (3 & 6).
Peace!
PS - I just have to say one thing about this Racist problem I am hearing so much about. The same thing happened a few years back when NAFTA was perceived as a threat. Don't you folks realize that propaganda works and it is the government trying to pass it's own agenda that fuels these silly hatreds. Some one leaks to the press that an enemy is lurking to take their security and fearful Americans (suffering their own financial hardships with Mad King George at the helm) are taken in with a beer and someone to "bear Arms against" as it were. We all need to stop and focus on the propaganda machines that run all over the world. The time is now while we can all be reasonable with one another to make a change. Don't run the same hateful messages over in your mind - that makes you part of the problem. Envision us rising above it, please. It is our only chance. The people in power are thrilled to have us distracted by petty differences while they use our tax dollars and "power of attorney" so to speak to run a muck in the world and give us a bad rep.
Sorry for the rant - but this is important for people to open their eyes.
Peace!

Into the U.S., it's most likely that the piñata was "imported" from Mexico, but it is not necessarily a Mexican phenomenon.
Many other Latin-American countries have the piñata. So where did this folklorist ritual originate? Probably from among the Indians, who are the original Americans.
So, who cares where the piñata really comes from? It is one of the most enjoyable customs all over the Americas (north, middle and south) and we should be glad we have it and not bicker over who invented it.

Really? Wow, I had no idea! That just blows my mind, I mean you can buy stuff from Mexico in America? Holy moly man.
So I don't have to drive down there and smuggle one in in my trunk or throw one over the fence?
Thanks for telling me.
