It's actually been all week long, but the best time to view it apparently is after midnight tonight. You still have plenty of time to find a dark spot away from the city lights.

Yes there is sweetie, it's the Perseids meteor shower, don't worry this shower lasts a little over 4 days, and it does begin on Aug 12, look towards the east around 1 a.m. ther should be a hourly rate of about 50 meteors per hour. hope this helps

Try heading outside now. You're probably not going to see many with city lights, so if you're in a big city, try waking up around 4am. Keep looking around the entire sky. I recommend just laying down on a roof and looking up. Good luck!

Look northeast is what I heard, between 11 pm-2 am EDT Sat./Sun. for peak showers. Happy viewing.

if you could go somewhere dark and away from lights mountains/hills/cannons are good because there away from most pepole and lights. if there is going to be one check out fox11.com and they ussaly list things like that just to make sure ussaly they happen between 12 and eleven am.ps, i gave you a thumbs up
