"God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!" Seriously, is anyone else sick and tired of that saying? If you really think about it, there's no adult way of saying it out loud. You just end up sounding like a five year old in a playground, like, "I know you are, but what am I?" Is anyone else annoyed about how that can be passed as a supposedly valid argument against the morality of homosexuality? Really, I don't think that's a quote from the bible at all.

Jesus, people, I'm not trying to debate here. If you have your arguements against homosexuality, that's fine and dandy...but don't try to be high and mighty when you sound like a friggen child with a statement like this.

You know it's funny to see people say, "It's not from the bible, stupid, read the bible more often...but here's something that IS from the bible...." There's something called sarcasm and a little something else called "not believing in the bible". The bible is being used as a crutch against a lot of people who don't believe in it or have different interpretations of it. Use something everyone can relate to.

omg i am sick of it too! it is sooo immature, and i'm gay and have to put up with this crap all the time. it is very offensive, and for those who hate on gays because of the bible, torah, or koran.. well, you can think whatever you want, but in the bible it talks about ACTS, not being gay, and in the koran it talks about LUST. So don't bring religion into this, and don't bring religion into politics. if someone wants to "sin" you shouldn't interfere.

Don't you think five year-olds are cute? OK, not when they act like that. . .
I wish those that quote the Bible would read it from cover to cover. I wish that they would then compare their lives and their behaviors to what is written about scripture, such as the fact that consuming shellfish is also an abomination, as if wearing fabric woven of two different fibers. In fact, I believe the Bible does a pretty good job of telling people they should apply their learnings to their lives and not use them to judge others.

If Christians really believed the bible they would understand that god made Adam, Steve, James, Edward, and Ricky Martin. If they truly had faith they would believe that god has a plan and it includes homosexuals.
My favorite quote doesn't come from the bible, but it is good. "The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision." - Lynn Lavin
Hope this helps you.

Ya know what, I have nothign against gay people. I have some gay friends and they're really great people. I am totally against "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!", and I agree it sounds like a five year old's argument except with anti-gay being the topic instead of you stole my cookie

I totally agree with you. One of my very best friends is gay and she and I have had some real heart-to-heart discussions about homosexuality. The one that I love is, "they choose to be that way." My friend said, "Why would I CHOOSE this? So that everyone could reject me and I would lose family to this?" It's just ignorance. Hopefully more people like you will become commonplace rather than the people who make dumb-*ss Adam and Steve statements!!

Yeah, especially since if you believe in God and the Biblical theory of creation, you believe that God made Adam and Eve, and Steve, and Martha, and David, and Howie, and Anna, and Bob, and Ted and Carol and Alice and.....oh gosh, where does it end?

The only thing I don't like about it is having to decide whether to go with the whole "I'm wiccan, not christian" argument or do the whole "turn the bible against them" routine. It is kinda childish, but it's an open opportunity for me to tear their argument to pieces. I had christianity shoved down my throat for 19 years. I enjoy tearing their arguments to pieces and turning their holy text against them and upside down.

You know the saying, "morons get mad when you call them morons?" Well this certianly explains why everyone got so pissed off at you.
You should move on, and if someone actually says that to you, tell them they rely on 2 year old logic to defend their opinions, and are immorale for being so predjudice.

No you are sure right it is not a quote from the bible but God destroy a whole city because of homosexuality and turn lot into a pillar of salt for just looking back. That remark is from man not God. Read your bible because it says no man will enter heaven
that do these things, because it is wrong in nature toward God.
So why are you sick and tired of hearing that slogan.
