Even if the words truly come from the heart?

they doubt everything......maybe they aren't very trusting. maybe they have been hurt in the past. maybe they have issues in trusting people....could be any reason, really.

If those words are answered on here, then they probably think you aren't being serious. I feel the same way. I try to answer questions from the heart and from my own experiences.
Guess it's harder for people to believe that someone really does care about what they have to say.

It all depends if the person is honest of not, if the person is being sincere, which I can tell for some people, then yes they are speaking the truth and truly is coming from their heart.

Skepticism? Cynicism? Perpetual distrust? Prior emotional scarring accompanying similar words from another? Or maybe they think you couldn't be anything but what they are.
Keep those words in your heart- someday they may sincerely touch someone who deserves them!

People lie a lot. Judge people on their actions not their words.

I'm guessing you mean something personal, so, I'm going to say, that it might that they have low self-esteem, and just can't believe they are worthy.

because they've probably had people lie to them before. so when someone tells the truth it's harder to trust them
