If history gives an accurate picture, yes. Our history is filled with examples of empires that sought to spread their policies and influence to other cultures. Ultimately, they have failed, as shall the US one day. The question is what will happen to all of our nuclear weapons during this time. Will they be used? If so, how many? Will other countries use them as well?

Yes, unless we sunset Medicare, sunset Social Security, live up to th Geneva Conventions and never put out troops on the ground in Asia again.
Neither of the two parties can proceed with that agenda, so, YES we are going to fall. The single greatest reason is the selfish gluttony of the World War II generation after they became civilians and greedy, hypochondriacal retirees.

the debt is actually a minute fraction of a percent of the actual GNP. The dollar has experienced times like this in the past. I certainly hope we can thwart every terrorist plot. Maybe if we take them out a the source instead of waiting for them to come to us.

The barbarian invasion will root the empires out. It happened to the romans, the greek, the british, the french and the U.S is next. Thats why we should take all those *******, ignorant old fool from the administration and get a younger administration because they would understand our generation better. Old people are good for bad traffic and hopeless foreign policy only. I say, chuck them old sick bastards.

Let's hope not!! There are alot of people that don't believe that there are people in the middle east that are trying to kill us. These people better wake up before it's to late. Everybody needs to support our troops overseas and support the President no matter whether he is a democrat or republican. We are in this together

If the US falls it will fail from within, like Rome did, not because of any outside attacker. Any attack from outside the country will only unite America and waken the "sleeping giant" It is the enemies within who will weaken and cripple the US.

Rome tried to conquer or invade many nations and force their politics and beliefs on others and they fell. The US is doing the same thing... so I think History tells us that the US is bound to fall.

It is likely that the US economy will fall. Because all other economies are dependent (directly or indirectly) on the well-being of the US economy, it will cascade into a world-wide problem, either a recession or outright economic collapse.

The U.S.A. as of now stands at the top of the world and this makes us happy but the world changes and everything that goes up, must come down. We just hope it is not when we are around.
