Me and my boss had an argument over a promotion I was supposed to receive but didn't. After the argument I got a hot dog and tape it to a paper plate, and wrote on it with a permanent marker "YOURS". Then I got a pepperoni and cut it like 3 inches longer and taped it to a paper plate, and wrote on it "MINE". He called me to his office and said I was going to be escorted out. I am going to sue him for malpractice. Do I have a case?

Oooooh! Very good. Heck yeah you have a case. Without cause...you were just offering him a hot dog but you wanted to make sure he did not eat your peperoni right? So you just made sure, by using labels that he got what you intended for him.

So he fired you without cause. When you get your job back, send him a little ziplock bag with two little moldy peanuts in it. But that might get you fired again, and I won't be able to help you this time. So on second thought, perhaps just go back to work and spend your working hours thinking up more covert ways to enhance your boss' life.

You not serious!? First of all, malpractice does not apply - Malpractice: "A lawsuit brought against a professional person, such as a doctor, lawyer or engineer, for injury or loss caused by the defendant's negligence in providing professional services."

Your so-called joke was not just immature - it was vulgar and offensive. Turning anger into a sexual "slap in the face" is very worrisome behavior - you might want to think about getting some professional help.

You have taken the missed promotion too personally and went overboard to show him your displeasure.
If you felt he was biased on the promotion, then start looking for a job in another company .

What malpractice are you talking about ??

no you do not have a case... your boss could slap it back in your face for sexual innuendo. actually, i personally would appreciate your full name, date of birth, and photograph so that i could circulate the information, to all value producers in the united states, with the warning of what ignorance you possess... that way, if you are lucky (luck doesn't exist) MAYBE YOU COULD GET A JOB CLEANING TIOLETS... did you even bother to ask why you were passed over for the promotion? i doubt it... you argued, and then insulted... what makes you think you deserve any promotion anyway???? duhhh

Excuse me; to directly answer your question of why you were fired, it's because you are stupid.

Malpractice? What the hell - was he your doctor or lawyer?

I would have fired you, too. That was disrespectful and insubbordinate. Any company would have shown you the door for doing that to your boss.

And with what you insinuated with the hotdog and sausage, you're lucky he isn't suing YOU. (Sexual Harassment - yes, my friend, that fits the description)

You were fired for sexual harassment. Your actions were immature and stupid!

No, you do NOT have a case, you will be lucky if you get another job, if you are not slapped with a lawsuit or both.

first off you acted immature if the promotion was promised to you in writing or verbally and they didn't come through then you may have a case

What you did was dumb and could be construed as sexual harrassment. I suggest it is your boss who may have a case, not you.

That's funny. I would've got a little smoky and said Yours........lol. It was funny until you got fired that is. He didn't like your humor and that's why you got fired. Insubordination.
