I haven't heard much racism covered on the news currently but wonder if there is an ongoing hatred or anger towards people of that origin. I feel that there is just way too much conflict in the middle east and it is costing the international community, mostly the united states, alot to keep the peace and to safeguard our homeland security.

I think many are directing their anger for the terrorists who are responsible for 9-11-01 toward all Middle Easterners and Muslims. In some way, they feel it is justifiable because terrorists use their religion and ethnicity to disguise themselves. It's a shame because there are good people everywhere but it is the evil doers that ruin the possible harmony the human race can know. Racism is alive and well these days, and there is no easy solution that will please everyone. The irony is, that given how easy it is to travel all over the world and to have interracial relations, with multi-racial and -cultural children being born as a result, that racism isn't becoming passe'.

I think there is much racism and stereotyping and that is unfortunate. I have many good and close middle eastern friends and work collegues in the US and while I am of European heritage, I find myself watching this group more closely.

When I am on a plane, I watch for the stereotype and observe his/her movement...I see other do it also. It must be terrible for them, they have to notice the stares.

When you think of it, there must be tens of millions of middle eastern people and the same with those from India or other darker skinned people. Yet these terrorist criminals are from this group and even if ther are only a few thousand in the whole world, we will watch the whole group and incriminate them.

Such is the times, ala WWII when the Germans were not trusted and the japanese were interned.

I am surprised but pleased that there has not been more open revolt toward the groups, but I think it illustrates how much we are integrated in the US with many of the groups of people.

Since those events, a lot of people look at people from that region and immideately judge them as terrorists. There has already been much racsism in the world..and this just added to it. I think its wrong..just because certain people of a race did something horrible doesn't mean the rest of the race will too. I think its coming mostly from Americans. This should stop, because not all middle easterns are to be blamed. But then again..since when will racsism stop in this corrupted world?

So properly i comprehend what it is like. I used to hate him. Me being a Roman Catholic because of my mom and own causes that i ought to particularly no longer communicate. yet deep down interior I knew i become an same. My blood runs from the middle east, to hate my father must be to hate 1/2 my way of existence, 1/2 of what i'm, so properly that is an same with some thing. I mean you've loopy lunactis with different religions, none that made such dramatic consequences jointly with 9/11. yet properly those so called "terriosts" they are taking their faith and hunting for loop holes to justify their own own beliefs. All Muslims are not terriosts, neither is easily all of us from the middle east. that is radical those who've the incorrect idea and attempting to make a scapegoat of their own faith. I f they started covering the daily hate crimes against Middle Eastern peoples in this country (or anyone who resembles them), it would cause us to come to terms with our own intolerance, narrow mindedness, and inhumanity. So it
will never be covered.

Last time they did that in this country, a Civil Rights movement erupted. Never again...
Besides, laying a nation's problems on an identifiable group of people worked for Hitler, it should work out for George Bush...

Yes, and it's kind of sad, I think. The middle eastern people I know are all hard working professionals and do a lot to make the U.S. a better place.

Lots of non-Muslim people are afraid of and confused by Muslims. Even non-Muslim Arabs are distrusted. Sikhs and Hindus who are mistaken for Muslims are feared also. Westerners are equally feared and distrusted in Arab and other Muslim countries. This is a sad fact of life that our two cultures are clashing throughout the world.
