Okay so I guess the parlor that pierced my belly didnt do it right, and the skin grew too thin and the bar just "pushed" its way out or something...but anyway..it came out and its raw around where it was and the skin broke in two..so there is no way to put it back in. Does anyone know how long I should let it heal and stuff before I get it re-pierced? And is it normal for the piercing to get "rejected" or whatever that happened?

•Rejection happens, when:
-you played with it too much or touched it a lot. ( this is most common-but rarely admitted to)
-it was pierced incorrectly.
-you cleaned it too much ( more than once or twice a day)
-you got it snagged on something.
-you changed the jewlery too early.
-you were pierced with the wrong jewlery.
-Your body could just be prone to infection.
•With rejection you want to wait as long as possible before you get repierced.
Sometimes, if the scar tissue if bad enough, it is not possible after years because the skin is so badly damaged.
At the first sign of rejection the best thing to do is see a body piercer immediately and if instructed, remove the piercing. Once a piercing starts to reject, there is no stopping it unfortunately. Its your body's way of pushing out unwanted objects.
Rejection is normal. Putting holes in your body is not 'normal', but we do it anyway because it looks pretty. If you get a sliver, your body will do the same thing. It will reject the foreighen object that is in your body.
The best thing to to when you get a piercing is to leave it alone as much as possible. Only touch it when you have to clean it. You want your piercing to form a 'fistula' ( skin tube) and not reject.
I dont know what your navel looks like so I dont know how long you should wait, everybody's skin heals differently. The best thing to do is to show your piercer in a few months.
Some people have a gap where the piercing is, others have a bump, some have a big gap on one side, some have nothing. Each requires different placement techniques and different waiting times.
After the rawness, bleeding and wound is healed you can try putting vitamin e oil on the scar tissue to try softening it up.
Its difficult to pierce through hard scar tissue.
Keep in mind that once you have rejection, the skin is weakened, and you are prone to rejection again. Some people will re-pierce with success, others will get worse scar tissue. Its your call.
Another way that rejection can happen is if you hit it in your sleep. It can get snagged on a bedsheet and you'd never know.
Hope that helps.

the parlor is not enough for me too knoww if the place where you got pierced should be a place that uses the right stuff and traing for all the work they do for the most part i think it may be possible to replce the bar in therebut a tear or infection would be in mind have a doc take a look if you get worried

it is normal for your body to reject it. actually a really good pericing will still in time reject it from your body. wait till its fully healed and ask the pericers if they feel it is okay, if u go somewhere else( i recommend it) make sure you let them know how long ago you had your belly done and what happened because you might not be able to have it repericed, you might have to much scar tissue damage in that area

Wouldn't this scare you enough to think maybe this just isn't a good idea? I love belly rings but maybe you just weren't meant to have one. If you must, pierce the lower instead of the upper or vice versa.

OUCH!
I'd check with your doctor before getting it pierced again.
And if you do...find a different place. I'd say the one you used didn't work out quite the way you wanted.

well belly button rings are ugly in the first place and generally a lot of fat girls get them for who knows why then it makes me sick when they try to show them off. i'd just let it heal and stay away from them.

when you get a surface piercing, it grows out........ for example, an eyebrow and a bellybutton as well as nipple piercings.... its hard to deal with, you have to keep redoing it... wait for it to heal, go back they will know if its time to re-pierce it!
GOODLUCK!!!!!!!! :)

I'm sure it doesn't matter if your stomach looks like the side of a slice of lasagne.
