Am I worried? Is Bush being too mean?
I'm worried that more people don't take the threat of terrorism seriously, and don't stand up to the unusual behavior without at least expressing curiosity. I work in a retail situation, where you see all kinds of people. Anything in life done to excess constitutes abuse, and therefore, is subject to further scrutiny by ALL members of society.
I'm sick that so many people still have the "Kitty Genovese" syndrome, even after that most horrific event of 9-11-01. I'm always pleased to read or hear of small heroes who report suspicious or unusual behavior, even if the authorities rule out the danger at some later point in time. At least it shows responsibility in being an American.
Now, as to the question of President Bush being "mean."
First off, Bush is not a dictator, who can do as he pleases. Any action proposed by our President must be approved by other branches of government.... Remember Government Class?
Secondly, what is meant by "mean?" Are we to stand idly by while nations we are defending and supporting allow us to be spit upon, and defiled for taking up the cause they should have taken up for themselves?

You know what? I'm more worried about making sure I'm safe as I drive down my block tomorrow. Ya know, most fatal car accidents happen within a few blocks from home. And then guess what? I'm worried that I might get hit by a drunk driver. You know why? Because more 60,000 ppl PER YEARRR die due to drunken drivers. That's more than died in 9-11.
I was also kind of worried that I might get hit by a meteor becaue about 3000 of those actuallly hit Earth every stinkin day! How many is that if you times it by a year. Look , I'm not going to be checking under the bed or in the closet before I go to sleep, though. Sorry. I sure didnt mean to fear monger.

Thanks for presenting one side of the argument. An article in the Columbus Dispatch (see link below) has some more information. The two men claim to be buying phones for a businessman who resells them for profit and who has "been cleared of any terrorism by the FBI," according to their attorneys. Their attorneys also stated that the "instructions on accessing and altering computerized passenger and baggage information from Royal Jordanian Airlines, and some airline-flight manifests" that were found belong to one of the men's mother, who also owns the car the documents were found in. The attorneys state that she "works for a company that provides ground support for Royal Jordanian Airlines and others at the Detroit airport."
The foreigner who was held in Pittsburgh was held because he told the police that he was in the country illegally. He was found with another resident of Georgia in a van that had a temporary license plate and was stopped in traffic. Both were questioned, but apparently only one was held.

How can a conversation be hard to monitor due to a specific type of phone? it all travels across copper wires in the same signal.
This seems like its bogus propaganda when I worked at a major retailer we use to have Muslims come in all the time and buy boxes of things on sale to send them back to their countries because certain things weren't available. Had this happen once with phones they were on sale guy ordered about 2 boxes worth.

this text [one million] explains the "act" wherein they have been caught. it extremely is obvious that those adult adult males might have enjoyed to have pulled off those crimes. i could ask your self, if no longer for the FBI mole that presented pretend weapons, in the event that they ever might have won something with which to point an attack. This passage from the long island cases article is maximum telling: "A federal regulation enforcement good defined the plot as 'aspirational' — which skill the suspects had to do something yet had no weapons or explosives — and defined the operation as a sting with a cooperator interior the team. 'It substitute into completely controlled in any respect cases,' a regulation enforcement good mentioned." sure, it substitute into completely controlled in any respect cases. This substitute right into a plant by applying the FBI. If their guy hadn't presented the pretend weapons, *no longer something* ever might have handed off! pay attention, those 4 adult adult males, in case you met them, might probable draw our scorn. i does no longer be shocked in the event that they drew our pity. easily, they had undesirable intentions, yet no crime might have ever been committed. in basic terms (and technically) positioned, they have been set up. The objective, examining the reactions of each and every of the pundits, seems to be to remind us all of ways fortunate we could continually be that substantial Brother is keeping us.

Not really. I never really thought of terrorists living in Ohio since they usually strike in tourist drawing places. About Bush being too mean, I've never favored him too much, but it's better to be safe and take precautions.

I think about terrorism once in a while. It's going to be part of our lives. But I don't dwell on it. All we can do is hope our government is doing all they can to prevent it. And I don't think that's an easy task.
