I have my ears double pierced, but the second holes hurt me to put in earrings because they're closed up. But when I manage to stab an earring through(yes, literally stabbing them through), the holes reclose the day after I take them out. I want to get them re-pierced, will it hurt a lot, or just how it did the first time they were pierced?

It will feel the same. Scar tissue is dead tissue, hence the name, so it doesn't feel pain.

=S When I hadda redo my belly button ring, it hurt really bad because they hadda REALLY force the needle through the scar tissue. Ugh....hehe

It depends.
Scar tissue is a funny thing.
Sometimes the tissue will apparently grow more nerve endings to over compensate for the lost ones, sometimes it wont grow enough during the healing process. The more nerve endings the more it will hurt.
I've had some people say it hurts more, others say it doesn't, I'd say its about 50/50.
You just never know.
Its ear lobes, so the piercing is not that bad.

Stabbing it through by yourself, probably was a longer, more painful process.
Is the front open, but not the back? If it is, go to a piercing shop and ask the piercer to 'taper them open', some shops will do this for $5.00. Its done with a little stretcher and hurts much less than the piercing. Sometimes your back hole is open but you cant find the back, a piercer can do this for you with a taper.

Another problem can happen if you have a partially open fistula and you get a piercing right beside it. ( a fistula is the skin tube that the jewlery sits in) If your fistula is not healed, and the piercer does not get the hole exactly in the same place ( which is rare-if you do it with a gun), the two holes can merge and make one giant hole.

No, it will not hurt as much or even at all if there is still some intact skin and you can find the exact spot. Try to use some ice to numb it before the piercing, and maybe even take some ibuprofen or Tylenol before the piercing. Good luck! (I pierced all of my holes in my ears including the cartilage)

it relies upon the way you pierce it, with the piercing gun the needle is a lot smaller and it pierces faster, a 2d piercing continually hurts regardless because you're dealing with a scar technically in spite of the undeniable fact that the gun wont be as undesirable as a lengthy needle

I never experienced repiercing an ear, but I don't think it will hurt so much. I mean, so many people repierce their ears so it can't be that bad.

Personally, it doesn't bother me to get my ears pierced. I've had mine done several times. When it comes to my ears, I have a high pain tolorance though.
