Doesn't it just make black people look worse? How can anyone who supports the Black Panthers have anyone take them seriously when they talk about anything? It's like talking to the KKK, except they're black.

Now before I get lots of hate thrown my way, read that last sentence. Racism has no place in our world. But being a minority does not give anyone an excuse to be racist.

tina m- i in no way mean or meant to lump all black people with the BP party, in the same way that the white people can't be lumped in with KKKer's.

Luckie Ladee... --good point. organizations change, look at the republican party.

sweet ivy lyn--yes, they were just on the news spouting the same hate that Mel Gibson was saying. and not that there is anything wrong with having an opinion on the mid-east conflict, but their comments were obviously anti-semitic.

alwaysluvdcr...--yes, the whites obviously started it. and like i said above, organizations change, and they probably did start out for a good purpose. we know that the civil rights movement was critical for the integrity, health, etc. of our country. but two wrongs do not make a right. and as far as killing whites, i would like more information on that because i have heard otherwise. course researching it is better than taking someone's word, even if it's on tv.

GoldenLocs-- well, somebody can't take a critical look at something related to themselves without getting offended and defensive. I would repeat a couple of phrases where i explicitly reject ALL racism, but i don't think you want to know about it. #1- true. #2-sad and true. #3- not women. but if they started out peaceful, then i totally support that. but that has changed. now it is well, different. racist. if you can't accept that, then maybe you need to go to the library and look up the word racist in the dictionary. because it's obvious you don't have one at home.

goldenlocs continued:

#4--true and honorable up until the last part of the last sentence "and it kills people like you to see us come so far as a people and you wish hate on us all the time and resent us for your cultural shortcomings" --not really, i like seeing people succeed. in fact it 'kills people like you' that i would love to see a balance of power, redistribution of wealth, and even (gasp) reparations. #5 not sure what you are saying here. #6 judging by your selective reading, and the content of your answers, "it seems like you are the one that has the 'racist bug' under your skin."

sweet ivy lyn, alwaysluvdcr..., Princess Iza..., you addressed some of the positive aspects of the past organization, which i totally agree with from what i know. it's to the present BP org. or party that i am refering.

babegirll23 said- 'Slavery has been over for a very long time, The only people who believe in racism are the ones that are enslaving themselves in their minds'-- Well, institutionalized slavery is over, but not institutionalized racism. and if you visit the south, there are plenty of places where being around white people is like a time warp back to the 50s. otherwise, good stuff.

Every group has its terrorist. Black people are no exception. They see themselves as defending their group from white hate.

We do not need hate.

i ought to say certain because racism is racism. even if it is a touch or lots, that is nevertheless stupid and ignorant. in spite of the undeniable fact that, the Black Panthers were no longer orginated as a hate team, yet a number of their approaches are overboard. i'd not evaluate them to the Klan because the Klan have murdered and at a loss for words rather a lot easily all of us that isn't white and whites that go jointly with non-whites. yet like I initially stated, racism is racism and certain they are racist.

what sad is ppl don't know what racist is. because one person talks the truth about another race doesn't mean that person is raciest. but black ppl are the top of the list of racist ppl of all. they think they are better then every one. they are destructive. study the history of the bible. we have ppl that has translate very old documents of the bible. Cain kills Abel and lied to go and god cursed him and his disendance with black skin and a mark of a slave. so even the holy bible tells us how destructive and disobedience flow in there blood. **** if u could travel in time to show Abraham Lincoln the history of black ppl of the future i bet he would never have freed the slaves . and made it so they can never be freed cause of there behavior. cause every time a black person try to protest they think they are law and start tossing flaming cocktails.. rosa parks didnt have a flaming cocktail. MLK didnt have a flaming cock tail. and the sad thing is. is that they both help make it for blacks to have freedom and our own ppl are going into there country trying to help with the diseases. and helping them out by droping food in there country and the thanks we get is flying bullets lazy blacks who dont know how to pull up there pants. they bring in crack and illegal guns. good job ******* for showing much of the devil lives in ur souls and viens

For one during that time it was the whites who were unjustly racist to the blacks. The panthers even said themselves they are not anti white, they are anti opression. And we all know whites are the #1 opressors. If you research youll see they werent racist. Just fed up with the police and their racist plots. Even the president set them up. What would you do if you lived in a country that hated you. They didnt kill innocent whites like the white did innocent blacks. So they are nothing like the Klan, who were cowards hiding their faces. The Panthers always showed their face

I have to agree. Racism is just an excuse for someone to blame another color for their problems. We aren't born racist. Our parents teach us that. God made us all the colors we are. Racist people are naive. There are no white people who hate other whites because they are white. Blacks don't hate other blacks because they are black. We hate each other because we are ignorant. Wake up people. Slavery has been over for a very long time. The only people who believe in racism are the ones that are enslaving themselves in their minds. We tell each other to go back to Africa or England, but look at it like this. White people aren't from England. Black people aren't from Africa. People call blacks african american but they weren't born in Africa so they are black americans. White people weren't born in England so we can't go back to a country that isn't ours. I don't know about the rest of you but i'm white and I was born in Alabama. And my man is black.

At some point or another, the Black Panthers had a reason to exist....they did a lot of damage, but they did some good too. Now their existence is pointless.

Well for you information not all Black Panthers were racist. My granddaddy was one and he was no racist. He and the other Black Panthers didn't just fight for the rights of blacks, they also fought the poor, this includes poor whites and Blacks.
