Doesn't it just make black people look worse? How can anyone who supports the Black Panthers have anyone take them seriously when they talk about anything? It's like talking to the KKK, except they're black.
Now before I get lots of hate thrown my way, read that last sentence. Racism has no place in our world. But being a minority does not give anyone an excuse to be racist.

tina m- i in no way mean or meant to lump all black people with the BP party, in the same way that the white people can't be lumped in with KKKer's.
Luckie Ladee... --good point. organizations change, look at the republican party.
sweet ivy lyn--yes, they were just on the news spouting the same hate that Mel Gibson was saying. and not that there is anything wrong with having an opinion on the mid-east conflict, but their comments were obviously anti-semitic.
alwaysluvdcr...--yes, the whites obviously started it. and like i said above, organizations change, and they probably did start out for a good purpose. we know that the civil rights movement was critical for the integrity, health, etc. of our country. but two wrongs do not make a right. and as far as killing whites, i would like more information on that because i have heard otherwise. course researching it is better than taking someone's word, even if it's on tv.

GoldenLocs-- well, somebody can't take a critical look at something related to themselves without getting offended and defensive. I would repeat a couple of phrases where i explicitly reject ALL racism, but i don't think you want to know about it. #1- true. #2-sad and true. #3- not women. but if they started out peaceful, then i totally support that. but that has changed. now it is well, different. racist. if you can't accept that, then maybe you need to go to the library and look up the word racist in the dictionary. because it's obvious you don't have one at home.

goldenlocs continued:
#4--true and honorable up until the last part of the last sentence "and it kills people like you to see us come so far as a people and you wish hate on us all the time and resent us for your cultural shortcomings" --not really, i like seeing people succeed. in fact it 'kills people like you' that i would love to see a balance of power, redistribution of wealth, and even (gasp) reparations. #5 not sure what you are saying here. #6 judging by your selective reading, and the content of your answers, "it seems like you are the one that has the 'racist bug' under your skin."

sweet ivy lyn, alwaysluvdcr..., Princess Iza..., you addressed some of the positive aspects of the past organization, which i totally agree with from what i know. it's to the present BP org. or party that i am refering.
babegirll23 said- 'Slavery has been over for a very long time, The only people who believe in racism are the ones that are enslaving themselves in their minds'-- Well, institutionalized slavery is over, but not institutionalized racism. and if you visit the south, there are plenty of places where being around white people is like a time warp back to the 50s. otherwise, good stuff.
