BTW Im a American Citizen but my Husband is Mexican and we dont like it here any more. He wants to move to Mexico but I want to move some where that isnt so poor. Is that so bad of me, so we are discussing Canada as an option. One thing is for certain neither of us want to stay in the states.

Try these as a starting point:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/faq/index.html#immigrate
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/faq/immigrating-1.html
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/faq/index.html#work

Some points of interest I got from looking for 5 minutes:
You need to be in good health
You can't have a criminal record
You pose no threat to public security
You are a skilled worker or a business person.

They seem to want people who can contribute to society unlike the US which seems to take just about anyone.

I'm not a Canadian so I couldn't tell you but there's a lot of good information on the pages I listed. Good Luck, and don't listen to all the other xenophobic posts.

The short answer is that it's probably not as easy to become a Canadian citizen as you think. You can apply for citizenship only if you're a Canadian permanent resident and lived there for three years.

Canada (the country) absolutely loves immigrants; the Canadian people may or may not, but all the people I ran into seemed very friendly. No other (English-speaking) country I've researched has been that kind to people wanting to immigrant (cough*US-immigration policies*cough). I've found the government websites to be ridiculously easy to navigate and find answers to every question about the process. That's the best place to find the answer specific to your situation.

Good luck!

apply at the canadian immigration . you'll have to take a medical exam and if you pass you're in. costs a lot though .you'll then become a permanent resident and after 3yrs you can decide if you want to be a citizen and then apply.

whats really cool about canada is that there are a lot of immigrants and most of the pple are horribly nice if you happen to make it contact me i'll be sure to show you around!

GOOD LUCK!

And about jobs, its easy to get a job in Canada as long as you are ellegible to work here

In this country everything is cool, people, weather, nature...
to work in Canada... depends what you know, how fast you can learn, if the high school kid can do it so can you
live three years in this peaceful country, respect the law, respect the others, voila... the rest is just formality- piece of cake

As a Canadian Citezen I think that you should come here.

Now for what I know you must

Pay 200 dollars for an adult
You have to know all the provinces and governement and laws (YOU WILL BE TESTED)

So come over to Canada

No it's not easy. Canada wants people who have skills that they need, and they want people who can speak both French and English. However, I think it's pretty easy just to visit there, and I think they accept competent college students.
